Breakfast at Antonio’s put the Philippines in the global culinary map as it bagged a spot among Asia's 50 Best Restaurants List in 2015.

As you enter the colonial-style restaurant of Chef Tony Boy Escalante in Tagaytay City, be ready to be charmed by the divine dishes that feature a pinch of passion and a dash of creativity. Since the restaurant first opened its doors in 2002, its menu has captured the beautiful friendship between modern European dishes and classic Philippine recipes.

Ranking 48th in the prestigious list, Antonio’s recent recognition only proves that the Filipino cuisine is truly at par with its global counterparts. Asia's 50 Best Restaurants List is organized by the William Reed Business Media, the same group leadingthe World’s 50 Best Restaurants and Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants. While Asia's 50 Best Restaurants Listis filled by establishments from Hong Kong, Singapore and China, Antonio’s is the only Philippine restaurant which made it to the list.

The restaurant’s best seller is the Lechon de Leche, which is impeccably rubbed with the best secret herbs and spices, most of which are grown at the lush gardens of Chef Tony himself. Another box office hit at Antonio’s is the Mayura Station Wagyu Tomahawk steak, which serves as the perfect cheat day indulgence.

And since a visit to Tagaytay is never complete without eating bulalo, Antonio’s also crafted its own fine-dining version of the famed dish: theMayura bone marrow which is served with marmalade on the side.

All those delectable dishes may be eaten amidst Antonio’s antique-filled halls, or in their gorgeous lanai lounge – perfect with mojito topped with the freshest mint leaves, or the bar’s collection of whiskeys and other spirits.

Go to Antonio’s, where you will always be wowed not only by its world-class dishes, but also by the staff’s impeccable service, and of course, by the beautiful Tagaytay scenery.
